Welcome to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Upsilon Rho Upsilon Omega Chapter website. Our chapter has a proud legacy of service which began on June 7, 1997. Upsilon Rho Omega is the most recently chartered AKA chapter in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We maintain strong ties with sorority sisters serving at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. More than half of the sorority sisters in our chapter are connected to the sisterhood through the AKA Legacy pipeline.  
 

Since our charter, we have remained a staple within the community providing community service in the Johnson, Jackson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte counties. Upsilon Rho Omega has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to more than 100 high school graduates in the Kansas City metropolitan area, who then attended and graduated from historically black colleges and universities, Ivy League institutions, and other prestigious academic organizations. 
 

Upsilon Rho Omega is an annual awards earner for standards, operations and program excellence, conference attendance, and scrapbook. We were presented with 7 awards during the 92nd Mid Western Regional Conference in 2021 including the 2021 Membership Award - Best of the Best!
 

The Uplifting, Remarkable, and Outstanding ladies of Upsilon Rho Omega are dedicated to our 2022 - 2026 International Program "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood " under the direction of our International President, Danette Anthony Reed. The “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” administration, as well as the Upsilon Rho Omega Chapter, seeks to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s rich legacy of service by stimulating our active members to lead our communities through change, education, and advocacy.
