Greetings from the Upsilon Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! We welcome you to our website.
Our chapter has a proud legacy of service that began on June 7, 1997. Upsilon Rho Omega is the most recently chartered AKA chapter in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We maintain strong ties with sorority sisters serving at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. More than half of the sisters in our chapter have connections to the sisterhood through the AKA Legacy pipeline.
Since our charter, we have been a vital part of the community, providing service in Johnson, Jackson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte counties. Upsilon Rho Omega has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to more than 100 high school graduates from the Kansas City metropolitan area, many of whom have attended and graduated from historically Black colleges and universities, Ivy League institutions, and other esteemed academic organizations.
